IMPL operation procedure
General Information
Checking before operation
- After long distance transportation or long time storage, an inspection should be carried out. Be sure that user key switch is in turn-off state.
- Pay attention to the water level requirement.
- Connecting 220V power supply.
Operating steps
- Selection of therapy head: Select the green head or white head according to your therapeutic intention. Upward position of changeover switch is for skin rejuvenation, and downward position is for hair removal.
- Unlock the user key switch on the panel to let the instrument connect electric power, at the same time, water pump starts running. After 3 seconds, the electronic controller starts working and the LCD screen displays the following pattern:

There are four therapy schemes on the screen. Every scheme can be defined by the user, for example, therapy 1 for skin softening, therapy 2 for hair removal etc. You can set up energy density, the corresponding pulse parameters, etc. according to clinical experience.
Parameters setting
When you enter the therapy and/or parameters interface, the screen display is as follows:

The upper left part of the screen displays the current working state of the instrument, i.e. STAND-BY, READY, and WORK. Their meanings are as follows.
- STAND-BY: It means the instrument is at starting state.
- READY: It means the instrument is at pre-ignition, ready for flashing state.
- WORK: It means the instrument is at flashing state, and ready for therapy.
The upper center of the screen displays accumulative number of applications.
The left central part of the screen displays the energy density (J/cm x cm) used at the present time.
The little red square is an energy symbol. When it is selected, its brightness dims, then you can press UP or DOWN button to increase or decrease the energy density. Press the ENTER button to directly save the parameters just selected. The value displayed in the central part of the screen and in bottom energy scale is the energy density used at present.
The right side of the screen displays, from top to bottom:
- Nums (number of pulses): It is the sum of sub queue pulses involved in every discharging action, and ranges from 2 to 15.
- Time (between the shots): It is the time interval between two electric discharges, and its range is 1,2 and 3 seconds.
- First_P (pulse width of the first pulse): It is the time duration of the first pulse in every electric discharge, its unit is millisecond, and ranges from 1 to 20ms.
- First_D (interval between the first and the second pulse): It is the time interval between the back edge of the first pulse and the front edge of second pulse. Its unit is millisecond, and ranges from 1 to 50ms.
- Ser_P (pulse width of sub queue pulses): Sub queue pulses are a series of pulses except the first pulse. It is the time duration in each of the sub queue pulses. Its unit is millisecond, and ranges from 1 to 20ms.
- Ser_D (time interval in each of the sub queue pulses): Its unit is millisecond, and ranges from 1 to 50ms.
- Save: It is the data storage menu.
- Back: It is for returning to upper menu.
Each of the previous menu items can be selected by pressing successively the ENTER button, and setting up the data of each parameter by using the button UP or DOWN. When the set-up finishes, press the ENTER button, then all of the data will be saved, or you can select the SAVE menu, and press the ENTER button, all of the data will be saved too.
